One of the things a lot of people struggle with is throwing in the towel, whether on a situation, a person, or a decision.
I'm not saying it is wise to resuscitate a dead situation, but if it is thriving, has potential and has any sign of life; it's time to remember your 'why'.
Now the why's can come in several versions, the WHY AM I STILL DEALING WITH THIS or WHY AM I NOT SUCCEEDING, or WHY AM I SO STUCK in whatever area that resonates with you.
Some tools that I have found helpful when I am in that situation, more often than not! I take a minute to really dive deep. Think about it, you are the only person who has the answers to situations that involve you. I know, deep huh?So let's start picking it apart.
Whatever that thing is for you. Really take the time to weigh out your pros and your cons. Remember back when you first decided to embark on whatever it is;
- How did you feel?
- How excited were you?
- Why were you that excited?
- Who did you tell?
- What did you do to prepare?
Those are examples of remembering your 'WHY'. Go back to the beginning, where the idea, the relationship, the situation was birthed and remember the things that made you smile. Take some time to re-create those things for yourself so you can feel the joy, once again.
Now if it is something that all of those answers steer you in the direction of MOVING on, don't hesitate to do so. But in this space, write down your action plan if this item no longer brings you peace and purpose it is time to keep it moving!
As we unstick our stuck, or find a better way to move forward you will have these tools readily available and custom tailored to YOU.
Until next time....
